travel north america united states california burbank verdugo park
I was lucky enough to grow up a half of a block from Verdugo Park on California Street between Verdogo Ave and Clark Street.
The park covers more than half of the entire block, the long way and, short of a baseball field, provided space for just about any sport.
Here I learned to catch a football, use a skateboard, swim, play tennis, and compete in several city wide competitions for kids.
Today, the facilities have been improved even more and provide great play areas for all ages.
